SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Mandalay Region and Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and 2°C above April average temperatures in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44.2°C in Chauk, 44.0°C each in Myingyan and Myinmu, 43.7°C in Mingin, 43.5°C in Minbu, 43.2°C in Monywa, 43.1°C in Magway, 43.0°C in Nyaung Oo, 42.7°C in Tada U(Avia-Met) and 42.6°C in Mandalay on 21-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.47 inch in Machanbaw, 0.35 inch in Putao, 0.24 inch in Tiddim and 0.12 inch in Muse.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States. THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
