SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayin, Chin, Shan States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Sagaing Region and Kayah, Northern Shan States and 2°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Southern Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44.1°C in Chauk, 44.0°C in Myinmu, 43.1°C in Myingyan, 42.5°C in Nyaung Oo, 42.4°C each in Kalewa, Monywa and Sagaing, 42.3°C in Tada U(Avia-Met) and 42.2°C each in Magway and Mingin on 22-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.44 inch in Patheingyi(Shwesayan), 0.35 inch in Myitnge, 0.32 inch each in Mogoke and Putao, 0.16 inch each in Kyaukse and Machanbaw and 0.12 inch each in Mandalay, Kyaukse(Lunkyaw) and Mongyang.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Chin, Mon, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Eastern Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
