SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, light rain or thundershowers has been scattered in Southern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and 2°C above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Southern Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 44.7°C in Chauk, 44.5°C in Myinmu, 43.8°C in Myingyan, 43.2°C in Nyaung Oo, 43.1°C in Monywa, 43.0°C each in Mandalay and Tada U(Avia-Met), 42.8°C in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw) and 42.5°C each in Magway and Pakokku on 24-4-2026.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Kachin, Kayah, Eastern Shan States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
