SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Mandalay, Lower Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Kayin, Chin States and isolated in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State and regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 3°C to 4°C above April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States, 2°C above April average temperatures in Magway, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State and 2°C below April average temperature in Kayah State, 3°C below April average temperature in Southern Shan State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.4°C in Chauk, 43.0°C in Pakokku, 42.6°C in Magway, 42.5°C each in Minbu and Taungdwingyi, 42.2°C in Myingyan, 41.8°C in Taungoo, 41.7°C in Kalewa, 41.6°C in Gangaw and 41.5°C each in Nyaung Oo and Yeu on 26-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 3.78 inches in Mogaung, 2.36 inches in Pyinoolwin, 1.97 inches in Yeu, 1.93 inches in Pinlaung, 1.57 inches in Shwebo, 1.42 inches in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), 1.30 inches in Monghsat, 1.14 inches in Mongton, 1.06 inches in Sagaing and 0.91 inch in Patheingyi(Shwesayan).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Chin State and isolated in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States.
