SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State. Rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Mandalay,  Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Kayah, Eastern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay Region. Day temperatures were 4°C above April average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 2°C above April average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Chin, Mon States and 2°C below April average temperatures in Mandalay, Sagaing Regions and Kayah, Eastern Shan States, 3°C to 4°C below April average temperature in (Northern and Southern) Shan State and and 5°C below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.5°C  in Minbu, 41.2°C in Zaung Tu, 41.1°C in Taungoo, 40.6°C in Chauk, 40.5°C in Taungdwingyi, 40.2°C in Kawkareik, 40.0°C each in Shwekyin and Aunglan, 39.8°C in Dawei and 39.7°C in Nyaunglaybin on 26-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 2.79 inches in Pyinoolwin(Zeepingyi), 2.52 inches in Shwebo, 2.36 inches in Thabeikkyin, 1.97 inches in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), 1.77 inches in Yamethin, 1.34 inches in Yeu,1.31 inches in Madaya, 1.30 inches in Patheingyi(Shwesayan), 1.26 inches in Mogoke and 1.22 inches in Patheingyi.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Kayah, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States.
