SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Mandalay, Upper Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Northern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. Day temperatures were 5°C above April average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 2°C above April average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and 2°C below April average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State, 4°C below April average temperature in Chin State, 5°C to 6°C below April average temperatures in Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 42.0°C  in Minbu, 41.0°C in Taungdwingyi, 40.5°C each in Taungoo, Phyu and Magway, 40.4°C each in Aunglan and Myawaddy and 40.2°C each in Chauk and Dawei on 27-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 4.96 inches in Mogaung, 1.00 inches in Tachileik, 0.95 inch in Mongyawng, 0.83 inch in Monghsat, 0.79 inch in Kyaukse(Lunkyaw), 0.67 inch each in Hkamti and Machanbaw, 0.59 inch in Hakha, 0.47 inch in Kanbalu and 0.43 inch each in Putao and Myitkyina.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Shan State, scattered in Magway Region and Rakhine State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 80%.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Mandalay, Magway, Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to farily widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Sagaing Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Shan States.
