14-5-2026  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal ‌and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and isolated in Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Mon, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 5°C above May average temperature in Taninthayi Region, 4°C above May average temperatures in Kayin, Mon States, 2°C above May average temperatures in Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 43.6°C in Chauk, 41.5°C in Myingyan, 41.3°C in Aunglan, 41.2°C each in Tharrawady and Magway, 41.0°C each in Pakokku, Taungdwingyi and Sinbyugyun and 40.6°C each in Taungoo and Zaung Tu on 6-5-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 1.10 inches in Mohnyin, 0.59 inch each in Hkamti, Lashio, Kyaukmae and Muse, 0.55 inch in Gangaw, 0.51 inch in Kanbalu, 0.35 inch each in Monywa and Hsipaw, 0.28 inch each in Mogoke, Machanbaw and Manaung and  0.24 inch in Phaungpyin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon, Rakhine, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
