BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify into a depression during next (48) hrs. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 14) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Rakhine coastal areas.
