BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 12thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5 -8) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
