30-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw and Upper Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Launglon (6.57))inches, Dawei (4.14)inches, Mawlamyine (3.70)inches, Paung (3.11)inches, Pathein (2.99)inches, Mudon (2.87)inches, Gwa (2.68)inches, Madaya (2.60)inches, Patheingyi (2.25)inches, Myaungmya and Paing Kyone (2.08)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (11:30)hrs MST today, the tropical storm “Bebinca” over the South China Sea has crossed Northern Coasts of Vietnam and it is forecast to move Westward and gradually weaken.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18thAUGUST, 2018: Rain will be fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Northern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5 -8) feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in the whole country.
