25-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and  Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 19thAUGUST, 2018: Rain will be fairly widespread in Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Eastern and Southern)Shan, Chin and Kayah States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in  off and along Myanmar Coasts.
