BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha Coast and near West Bengal Coast(India) still persists. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th AUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar Coasts. Wave height will be about (6-10)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4-6)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
