SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao (3.71) inches, Labutta (1.65)inches, Phyu (1.61)inches, Minesat (1.18)inches, Paing Kyone (1.14)inches, Mawlamyine (0.98)inch, Machanbaw, Loilin and Pathein (0.79)inch each and Manaung (0.71)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 9th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Northern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
