SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Yangon Region, Southern Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myitkyina (2.91)inches, Putao (2.44)inches, Mogoke (2.28)inches, Mingin (2.05)inches, Hmawbi (1.73)inches, Manaung and Paing Kyone (1.65)inches each, Kyeikmayaw (1.57)inches, Hpa-an (1.50)inches and Launglon (1.34)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago and Yangon Regions, (Northern and Southern)Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Kachin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
