SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Bago Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States  with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay Region and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Pyawbwe (2.91)inches, Yangon (Kaba-Aye) (2.87)inches, Central-Yangon (2.79) inches, Hmawbi and Yangon (Mingaladon) (2.63)inches each, Kungyangon and Myaungmya (2.05) inches each, Mindat (2.02)inches, Shwebo and Bago (1.97)inches each, Hainggyigyun (1.93)inches, Northern Dagon (1.89)inches, Dawei (1.73)inches, Launglon (1.65)inches, Kyeikkhame (1.61)inches and Yamethin (1.50) inches.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the East Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Myanmar Coast now lies over the East Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify into a depression within (12) hours. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in (Southern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Northern Shan and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery conditions in Central Myanmar areas.
