SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Mon State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Eastern Shan and Kayin States, scattered in Magway and Bago Regions, Southern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kungyangon (1.73)inches, Kalawa (1.46)inches, Katha (1.42)inches, Hmawbi (1.34)inches, Mawlaik and Kyaukse (0.99)inch each, Naungcho (0.94)inch, Monywa (0.87)inch and Putao, Pyinoolwin, Lunkyaw and Gwa (0.78) inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “DAYE” over Northwest Bay of Bengal has crossed Andhra Pradesh coast near Gopalpur (India). It is forecast to move West-Northwestwards and weaken gradually into deep depression. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate to rough off and along Rakhine Coasts and slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-11)feet off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (4 -7)feet off and along Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of thundery conditions in Central Myanmar areas.
