SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated heavy falls in Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Maubin (7.40)inches, Khayan (6.06)inches, Yangon (Kaba-Aye) (6.02)inches, Nyauntone (5.81)inches, Bago (5.75)inches, Central Yangon (5.51)inches, Yangon (Mingladon) (5.47)inches, Hmawbi and Yagon(North Dagon) (5.19)inches each, Zaung Tu (4.41)inches, Kungyangon (3.66)inches, Hlegu (3.23)inches, Zalun (3.15)inches and Theinzayet (3.03)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (11:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has been crossing over Deltaic areas still persists. It is forecast to move West- Northwest wards. Weather is cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and East Central Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd October, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States.
