SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Rakhine State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region, Northern Shan and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Hinthada (5.00)inches, Bago (2.91)inches, Khayan (2.32)inches, Gyobingauk (2.01)inches, Zalun (1.97)inches, Minesat (1.73)inches, Loikaw (1.49)inches, Taungkok (1.46) inches, Zaung Tu and Nyaunglaybin (1.38)inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Deltaic area and adjoining East central Bay of  Bengal has become unimportant. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and West central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24th October, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States, scattered in Magway and Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
