SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin and Chin States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, scattered in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kungyangon (2.95)inches, Pathein (2.72)inches, Pyay and Loikaw (1.49)inches each, Phyarpon (1.14)inches and Kawkareik (1.10)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th October, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan and Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
