25-5-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards and centered at about (330) Nautical miles Northwest of Coco Island, (300) Nautical miles Northwest of Hainggyigyun, (265) Nautical miles West of Thandwe (Myanmar), (210) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe (Myanmar), (220) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), (220) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island and (245) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Canning (West Bangal, India). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal of Bengal and weather is cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States, weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) below November average temperature in Northern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) below November average temperatures in Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, (2°C) below November average temperatures in Mandalay Magway and Yangon Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan and Chin States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (8°C)each in Thipaw, Loilin and Hakha, (10°C)each in Naungcho, Namsam, Mongyang, Tiddim and Pyinoolwin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Mingin (0.16)inch, Hakha, Matupi and Thandwe (0.04)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd November, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin and Chin States and isolated in Upper Sagaing and Yangon Regions, Shan and Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Kachin, Shan and Chin States.
