SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon Region and Southern Shan State, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Kayin State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below November average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and (2°C) above November average temperatures in Bago Region and Mon State and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (10°C) each in Putao, Thipaw and Tiddim, (11°C) in Tongzan. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kya-In-Seikkyi (3.04)inches, Kawkareik (2.60)inches, Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (1.61)inches, Yangon (North Dagon) (1.26)inches, Pinlaung (1.10)inches, Loilin (0.83)inch, Central Yangon (0.78) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm (Gaja) over West Central Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about (400)miles East of Chennai (India) and about (450)miles East- Northeast of Nagapattinam (India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th November, 2018: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Northern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Region, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and Fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough sea are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)mph. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States.
