SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C)below November average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regions, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah and Mon States and (2°C) above November average temperatures in Bago Region, Rakhine and Kayin States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (2°C) in Hakha, (9°C) in Falam and (10°C) in Tiddim. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Thaton (2.01)inches, Loikaw (0.79)inch, Myeik (0.43)inch, Yangon(Kaba-Aye) (0.32)inch and Central Yangon (0.28)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm(Gaja) over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Southwestwards and it has intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm(Gaja). It is centered at about (170)miles Southeast of Chennai (India) and about (165)miles East-Northeast of Nagapattinam (India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th November, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough sea are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)mph. Wave height will be about (8-10)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.
