BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay of Bengal and weak elsewhere over the  Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 3rd June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Yangon Region, Chin, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, (Eastern & Southern)Shan, Rakhine and Kayah States, isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderat to raugh seas are likely attimes  Gulf of Mottama, of and along Mon and Taninthayi Coasts.Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 30-35m.p.h.Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5 - 7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, Mon and Taninthayi Coasts, about (5 - 7)feet in Deltic and Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rd June, 2017: Isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainly is (80%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rd June, 2017: One or two rain or thundershower. Degree of certainly is (80%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rd June, 2017: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers.  Degree of certainly is (60%).
