BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 5th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan and Rakhine States, isolated in (Eastern and Southern)Shan and Kayah States with regionally heavy falls in Yangon Region, isolated heavy falls in Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, Mon and Taninthayi Coasts about (4 - 6)feet in Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
