SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region, scattered in Magway Region and Rakhine State, isolated in Naypyitaw, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperature in Yangon Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States, (6°C) above December average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Chin and Rakhine States, (7°C) to (8°C) above December average temperatures in (Northern and Southern) Shan and Kayah States and about December average temperature in Taninthayi Region. The significant night temperatures were (9°C) in Tongzan and (10°C) in Tiddim. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Matupi (2.09)inches, Putao (1.13)inches, Machanbaw (1.02)inches, Muse (0.98)inch, Ramthlo (0.94)inch, Kyaukpyu (0.83)inch, Myitkyina, Monyin and Kawthaung (0.71)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th December, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
