SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain has been isolated in Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah and Kayin States and generally fair in Naypyitaw and Southern Shan State. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Bago Region, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States, (5°C) to (6°C) above December average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region, Kayin and Mon States and about December average temperature in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) each in Heho and Ramthlo, (6°C) each in Namsam, Loilin and Hakha, (7°C) in Thipaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd December, 2018: Light rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan and Chin States.
