SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain has been widespread in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State and isolated in Yangon Region. Weather has been generally fair in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (4°C) below December average temperature in Rakhine State, (2°C) below December average temperatures in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, (2°C) above December average temperature in Bago Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Southern Shan and Kayah States and (5°C) to (6°C) above December average temperatures in Eastern Shan, Kayin and Mon States and about December average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) in Putao, (4°C) each in Tiddim and Ramthlo, (5°C) each in Thipaw, Heho and Matupi. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Mongyang (1.02)inches, Kengtung (0.35)inch, Minesat (0.24)inch and Myeik (0.20) inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st December, 2018: Rain will be fairly widespread in Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Sagaing Region and Chin State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
