SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been isolated in Taninthayi Region, weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Eastern Shan and Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, (5°C) above January average temperatures in Kayin and Mon States and about January average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (3°C) each in Putao, Heho and Ramthlo, (5°C) each in Loilin and Tiddim, (6°C) each in Thipaw, Naungcho,Namsam,Pinlaung,Mogkok.The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded was Kawthaung (0.16)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Northwest Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th January, 2019: Light rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Natpyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States.
