24-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, weather has been partly cloudy in Northern Shan and Chin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below February average temperature in Kayin State,  (2°C) above February average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Southern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above February average temperatures in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin and Chin States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Thipaw, (7°C) each in Namsam and Mongyang, (8°C) each in Pinlaung, Heho and Minesat. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao and Machanbaw (0.20)inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th February, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan, Rakhine and Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions and Shan State.
