SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Mandalay Region, Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State and scattered in Upper Sagaing and Magway Regions, Rakhine State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (13°C) below March normal temperature in Lower Sagaing Region, (12°C) below March normal temperature in Northern Shan State, (8°C) below March normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin State, (4°C) below March normal temperatures in Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States and about March normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) in Kawkareik and (37°C) each in Taunggu, Tharrawady, Okkan, Yangon(Northern Dangon), Hinthada, Bawlakhae, Hpa-an, Myawaddy and Yay. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Matupi (1.97)inches, Maungdaw (1.46)inches, Kyaukpyu (1.26)inches, Kyauktaw (0.87)inch, Hkamti (0.83)inch, Sittwe (0.71)inch, Paletwa (0.67)inch, Myauk U (0.59)inch, Mindat (0.47)inch and Pyinoolwin (0.35)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th March, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, scattered in Sagaing Region, (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of rain or thundershowers in Kachin State.
