22-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area has formed over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on 24-11-2025. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, a few cloud over the Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin and Eastern Shan States, scattered in Northern Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Southern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) below March normal temperature in Southern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) below March normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan and Chin States, (2°C) below March normal temperature in Lower Sagaing Region and about March normal temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (37°C) each in Shwegyin, Nyaunglaybin, Phyu, Khayan, Yangon (Northern Dagon), Bawlakhae, Hpa-an, Myawaddy and Yay. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyauktaw (0.20)inch, Thipaw (0.11) inch and Pyinoolwin (0.08)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th March, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan and Chin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
