SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, (Northern and Eastern) Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above April normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above April normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Chin States and about April normal temperature in Rakhine State. The significant day temperatures were (44°C)each in Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Taunggu and Bawlakhae and (43°C) each in Myinmu, Meiktila, Myingyan, Kyaukse, Magway, Gangaw, Gyobingauk, Taunggu(Aviation Met Station) and Hinthada. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kyaukmae and Kengtung (0.04)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards and it is centered at about (460)miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee(Siri Lanka) and (670)miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is forecast to move Northwestwards. Weather is cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th April, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and (Northern and Eastern)Shan States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States.
