 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 25th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Shan  State, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of strong monsoon.
