SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw and Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Bago Region, Kachin and Kayah States and widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Mon State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Putao (4.96)inches, Chaungsone (3.90)inches, Hainggyikyun (3.78)inches, Hkamti (3.39)inches, Kyeikkhame (3.23)inches, Hmawbi (Agro) (3.15)inches, Labutta (2.76)inches, Paung (2.64)inches, Nyauntone (2.53)inches and Launglone (2.40)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region, Kachin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coasts.
