SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain has been scattered in Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Eastern Shan and Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (6°C) below February average temperature in Kayin State, (3°C) below February average temperatures in Bago and Yangon Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah and Mon States, (2°C) below February average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Namsam, (1°C) each in Heho and Hakha, (2°C) in Mongyang, (3°C) each in Pinlaung and Loilin, (4°C) in Thipaw and (5°C) in Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (1.18)inches and Putao (0.20)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Southwest Bay and generally fair over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rd FEBRUARY, 2018: Rain will be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, Rakhine and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
