SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago,Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan (East and South), Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Hkamti (5.56) inches, Myitkyina (3.70)inches, Kyaukpyu (3.43)inches, Hainggyikyun (2.87)inches, Tamu (2.60)inches, Tiddim and Sittwe (2.40) inches each, Kyauktaw and Manaung (2.32)inches each
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coast and (4 - 7) feet in Gulf of Mottama and Mon - Taninthayi Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States.
