BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 24th August, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfall in Magway Region and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 –11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (6 – 9) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago Region, Kayin and Mon States.
