17-2-2026:According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal has moved west–northwestwards and reached over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 5th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in (Northern and Southern)Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayin States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet in along Myanmar Coast.
