3-9-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to further intensify during next 24 hrs. Thereafter, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hrs. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 13th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan (East and South), Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
