2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely  to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it  is likely  to move  west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON  OF  THE 25th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing,

Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States

with isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet in Deltaic and along Rakhine Coast and (6 - 8) feet in Gulf of Mottama and

along Mon -Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
