SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Southern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Eastern Shan State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperature in Eastern Shan State and (2°C) above April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States and (5°C) to (6°C)  below April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk and (42°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Sinbyugyun, Taunggu and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.67) inch in Kunlong, (0.51) inch in Naypyitaw(Dakhinathiri), (0.43) inch in Lashio, (0.35) inch in Ramthlo, (0.28) inch in Falam and (0.20) inch each in Putao, Moegaung, Tiddim, Tongzan and Ye U.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th April, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Chin States and isolated in Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan(South and East), Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States.
