6-1-2026:   According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining east Equatorial India Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Magway Region and widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Squalls with rough seas will be experienced at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon -Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coast and (5 - 7)feet in along Rakhine Coast.
