2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely  to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it  is likely  to move  west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing,

Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago,

Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing,

Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:  Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-8)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 8th August, 2017:  One or two rain or thundershowers.
