SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan and Chin States, scattered in Shan(North& South)States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Taninthayi Region and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Manaung (3.62)inches, Ngathaichaung (3.03)inches, Maungdaw (2.99)inches, Sittwe and Bago (2.60) inches each, Theinzayet (2.48)inches, Hkamti (2.40)inches, Myaungmya (2.24)inches, Taungkok (2.17)inches, Yangon(Kabaaye) (2.05) inches, Kawthong (2.00)inches and Kyauktaw and Gwa (1.97)inches each.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Chin, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Rakhine States.
