SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Northern Shan and Rakhine States and widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Thaton (6.34)inches, Hlaingbwe (5.55)inches, Paung (4.33)inches, Dawei (3.46)inches, Paingkyone (3.23)inches, Zaung Tu (3.11)inches, Naypyitaw (Yezin) (3.03)inches, Belin (2.91)inches, Kamamaung (2.64)inches and Mattayar (2.56)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today,  the low pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal and Odisha Coast (India) has moved Odisha Coast (India). Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th August, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Chin State, widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions Kachin and Kayin States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Shan States.
