SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Chin State, widespread in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with isolated heavy falls in Mandalay Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Belin (2.99)inches, Mogaung (2.95)inches, Kamamaung (2.80)inches, Thaton (2.79)inches, Paung (2.76)inches, Myaungmya (2.68) inches, Kyeikmayaw (2.52)inches, Shanywarthit (2.42)inches, Loilin (2.32)inches, Kyaukpyu (2.24) inches and Hpa-an (2.17)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st August, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin and Mon States.
