SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway and Bago Regions and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kalay (3.90)inches, Mawlaik (3.42)inches, Kyaukphyu (3.15)inches, Kyeikmayaw (2.91)inches, Yeu (2.76)inches, Pathein (2.63)inches, Pyinoolwin (2.59) inches and Gwa (2.56)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in Sagaing Region, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of weak monsoon.
