21-5-2025: Southwest monsoon has advanced into the Central Myanmar areas and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, Eastcentral and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 19th September, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be  scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, (Eastern & Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional Squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and  along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
