SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the North Bay of Bengal and Central Myanmar areas. Weather has been partly cloudy in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway and Yangon Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Kayin States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Southern Shan and Mon States, fairly widespread in Rakhine State and widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin and Eastern Shan States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kunlong (2.24)inches, Putao (1.73)inches, Theinzayet (1.69)inches, North Dagon (1.57) inches and Madauk (1.34)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st October, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago and Yangon Regions, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin State and widespread in Taninthayi Region. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7)feet in along Myanmar Coasts.
