24-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northweatwards and intensified into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area and reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwest during next 48 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the South Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 6th OCTOBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in (Eastern& Southern)Shan and Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine and Kayah States and widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions.
